Snap rooms onto a 600 mm grid. Walls, openings and the building envelope are worked out for you, so the work is design decisions rather than drawing lines.
Every option is sourced
122 components, each carrying an evidence tier — codified standard, practitioner consensus, or vendor preference — and the standard or paper behind it. Preference items can never raise your score.
It checks the plan
Exits, hallway widths, escape routes, whether a retreat can actually be reached from the rooms people use. Some warnings clear in one reversible step. Where the answer is a judgement about where something goes, it shows you the room and leaves the decision with you.
It produces documents
A specification brief with the tier and source for every item, the model as GLB or OBJ, the plan as JSON. All of it opens and reopens without an account.
It scores range and control, not calmness
A house where every room sits at the same low level has nowhere to go. One person is often hyper-responsive in one channel and hypo-responsive in another, so Threshold scores the gradient across the plan and whether the person in each room can change the conditions themselves — not how quiet it is.
Nothing leaves the device
No account, no sign-in, no analytics, no server. The plan and the people listed in it are held in your own browser and nowhere else. A panel inside the app counts every network request the page has attempted, live — so it can be checked rather than taken on trust.

What it will not do
It will not tell you a design improves anyone's life. No post-occupancy study of a sensory-designed private home exists — the research that does exist is in schools and care homes. Threshold says so on its own opening screen rather than implying otherwise, and labels every recommendation with how strong the backing actually is.
Cost figures are an indicative planning band, never a quotation. They exclude permits, professional fees, structural work and site conditions.
